Hello,

I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself to you, so that you know, that here is no big scam or company behind it.

I'm currently a student at Massey University, and i am doing a double major in Computer Science and Information Technology, specialising in Programming and Networking. I finished my first semester with 4 straight A's and you can imagine how happy this made me.

That was one of the reasons, why my Dad encouraged me to start a new business. He's an Marketing Manager and that gave me quite a nice head start compared to other people as he already knows which promotions work and which are worthless.

Creating websites has always been my hobby and as a kid I used to love gaming, especially Age of Mythology. I created many websites for different online "clan's", because i always hated to have poorly created websites and just liked to help the people. If i manage to find the site i ll post it here as well :)

However back then, I always concentrated on the design and didn't realize that many people struggle to even create the sites. Today I realized, that many people are looking for ecommerce websites and webstores. So of course, that was only a slight change from what i usually did and it was a very easy "add on" for me.

I also keep looking for new tools that make creating and promoting websites easier and more convinient for non html and website experts. And I ll add the tools and programs on this Website as I stumble over them.

By now, you probably think of me as a mean computer geek and Picture me as a man with big glases and dirty hair who doesnt have much of a social life...

Not quite true.

I love to go out Clubbing and socialize with my friends and they are always impressed that i actually do well at uni and some even swear that they have never seen me on a computer before.. Oh well, i can promise you, i do spent my fair share of time on the computer. Now i have even more of reason as i might have to help out you.

I guess now its my turn to tell you a bit about me.

My name is Holger Arndt, and I was running a successful Online Shop from 2002 in Germany. I offered about 5000 items in sporting, camping and leisure products.

At that time there were not many opportunities to get an online shop including online marketing. However, I was very fortunate and found one. It was a best organisational decision I made, because I could concentrate me on operating my online shop.

As we decided to immigrate to New Zealand In 2006 I sold my online shop www.freizeitprofi24.de due to the fact, that I couldn´t operate the online business from NZ. The customer coudn't reach me due to the time difference, otherwise I would be still busy by selling products through my online business “Freizeitprofi24”.

When I arrived in NZ I got a job offer at Shop NZ as an online marketing manager. My task was to sell online products from New Zealand to the German language countries, such as Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Therefore, I created some German Online Stores, “The Honey Shop”, “Gifts from NZ” and the health Shop” written in German with a German Domain name.

It was starting very well and the products became more and more popular in those countries. In 2007/8 the German custom restricted the import of some products such as honey and health ( as those products were seen as medical products) and only a few parcels went through the German custom and all my efforts marketing New Zealand´s products disappeared from one day to the other.

In 2008 my wife Helga decided to open a German Delicatessen Shop in Browns Bay. I supported her to set up the new business and of course I used my ability to create an Online Shop for her business.

After a while I realized that selling food wasn´t the right idea, because customers are afraid to buy such products online.

Beginning of 2010 I changed the strategy and designed with the help of my son Rene the look and the content of the website.

Now my wife`s business “Tasty Delicious” can be found by organic search through Google or other search engines with important keywords, such as German Café, Delicious German food and Gouda Cheese Auckland, Delicatessen Shop Browns Bay and so on.  

I let you in a little secret, how I managed to get Tasty & Delicious on the first page of Google NZ in such a short time?

With my background of online marketing from DigitalaWol, where I learned to marketing websites,

I have followed these steps for better ranking on Google:

1. Made my Domain name and Website visible for Google crawlers
2. Searching for keywords, which promote the website
3. Using Keywords in Headline and content to promote the business category
4. Submitting the Domain and business to search engines and web directories
5. Subscribing the website in local business directories in related categories of the business

They are much more options to create traffic to your website, but I do not want to confuse you.

Just by doing this in the last 4 months, the website is listed several times on the first page of Google NZ now. We are not targeting the people from outside of New Zealand, as they can´t be the customers of Tasty & Delicious.

The website www.finefoodoasis.com became an Alexa Ranking of 2101. That means only 2100 other homepages have more traffic than the website I promoted. I am proud to achieve this within 4 months.
